TASK #1: WHAT ARE NANOSCIENCE & NANOTECHNOLOGY?

You will hear a lot about nanoscience and nanotechnology are and it is important to know these concepts: nanoscience and nanotechnology are one of the most promising fields of investigation and application and its impact on our daily life will be huge.

Here you have some information:

With it, do the following:

  1. Read the information, carefully (Task 1.1)
  2. Define -in your own words- those concepts (nanoscience and nanotechnology) (Task 1.2)

    I think that nanoscience is a very difficult matter to grasp because some quantum-mechanics and other hard disciplines are needed to fully understand what is all about, but at the same time its future looks bright.

    One thing that strikes me is how tha nano scale can change the behavior of matter; that is, depending on the size of the very same matter its behavior changes completely.

    The explanation of that change in behavior is (it seems) in the quantum mechanics.
